The SAL SDD400RS-BTAM PIXIE Smart Dimmer Gen 3 is built for smooth, flicker-free lighting. Pair it with SAL’s SFI 10W downlights, and RippleShield technology kicks in—blocking ripple signals that usually cause annoying flickers.
You’ll enjoy precise dimming all the way down to 1%, with soft ON and OFF transitions that feel natural.
It’s fully compatible with the SAL PIXIE smart system. Control your lighting wirelessly using the PIXIE app or paired devices. Installation is a breeze—it fits standard Aussie wall plates and works in 1 to 6 gang switch setups. An LED status light shows you what’s happening: white when reset, blue when connected.
RippleShield Technology: Kills ripple-induced flicker for smooth, steady lighting.
Smooth Dimming to 1%: Provides soft ON/OFF transitions for precise lighting control.
PIXIE Smart System Ready: Enables wireless app control and paired device operation.
Flexible Fit: Works with most standard wall plates—1 to 6 gang.
LED Status Light: White means reset. Blue means connected.

SAL Flicker Immunity is a smart solution designed to kill flicker in LED downlights—especially the kind triggered by ripple signals from off-peak hot water systems in NSW and SE QLD.
This tech uses both smart hardware and software to block those ripples, so your lights stay steady.
Unlike other expensive fixes that mess with your switchboard, SAL SFI is simple and cost-effective. You just need:
SAL’s special LED downlights
SAL’s two-wire phase dimmer (like the SDD400RS-BTAM)
The off-peak hot water frequency flickering stops when these two components are installed together.
They must be installed together on the same circuit. If you install just one, it won’t work. Both parts are needed to stop the flickering.
Dimmer: Replace your current dimmer with the SAL SDD400RS-BTAM.
Downlights: Use SAL’s ECOGEM 10W – S9041TC/WH/SFI.
You must install both the SDD400RS-BTAM dimmer and the S9041TC/WH/SFI downlights. Replace all lights on the flickering circuit—not just the ones that flicker. Mixing light types won’t solve the issue.
Also, the SDD400RS-BTAM won’t work as a dimmer unless it’s connected to one of these approved downlights.
Q: What else can cause downlight flicker?
A: Besides ripple signals, flickering can come from worn-out fixtures, bad wiring, or poor insulation. If your lights dim or flicker, fix it fast.
Q: Will these products stop flickering on other circuits?
A: No. They only work on the circuit they’re installed on.
Q: What’s the max load the dimmer supports?
A: Up to 150VA at 220–240V / 50Hz.
Q: Is this dimmer a fit for all wall plates?
A: It fits most standard Australian wall plates and works with 1–6 gang setups.
Q: What does the LED indicator mean?
A: White = reset. Blue = connected.
